Biography: Manuel Jimenez is running for the District 6 seat on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors. He is an attorney licensed to practice law in California and New York.
Manuel is a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley (Political Science) and Fordham University School of Law in New York. While at Fordham, he was a Stein Scholar in the Stein Center for Ethics and Public Interest Law. He is presently pursuing a masters of public administration at San Francisco State University.
Manuel Jimenez serves as a Deputy Trial Counsel with the State Bar of California. He formerly served as a prosecutor with the Queens County District Attorneys Office in New York, where he was assigned to the Organized Crime and Rackets Bureau. Manuel has tried both civil and criminal cases before juries. He's tried cases in New York and California.

He has served on several governmental boards, including: The Edgewater, New Jersey Board of Adjustments; the San Francisco, Treasure Island, Citizens Advisory Board; and the San Francisco, Childhood Nutrition and Physical Activity Task Force. He serves on the union bargaining team, attorney unit, in his present position. Manuel served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve (1988-1994), as an Avionic Technician on F/A-18 Hornet Aircraft.
Manuel is a member of the San Francisco Bike Messenger Association, SEIU, and The Marines' Memorial Association.
An avid surfer of Nor*Cal's frigid water, he took time out to vacation as a bicycle messenger during a stint of self-imposed self-unemployment.
